"Simple Cur" is a collection of five songs that can be downloaded here, but is really meant to be purchased in the physical "songbook" format in which each song is introduced with explanations of how they fit together as one philosophical composition.

The songbook starts with a written introduction, and a portion of that introduction serves as a quick description of what inspired this specific collection of songs:
"This E.P. is ultimately about origins and evolution. It is about our initial states as simple curs trying to grasp the complexity of existence, and the exhausting, and possibly futile, process of attempting enlightenment. This futility, however, should not produce skepticism, or despair, but instead a humility in the face of what the Bible refers to as “the deep that calls unto deep”: that mystery that leads only to greater mystery, and ultimately necessitates a child-like reaching out for the mercy of God upon our simple minds."
